Lake Mezzano is without a doubt one of the most evocative places in the Viterbo province; it is a small lake in Central Italy, of volcanic origin, formed almost 400 thousand years ago.
The lake is a roundish shape (typical of its origin), and carries an effluent river, the river Olpeta, which in turn flows into the river Fiora.
It has a total area of 117.38 acres, a perimeter of 8,255 feet and is situated 1,483 feet above sea level.
